Last week, Cloverdale High School celebrated National FFA Week with a Spirit Week.
Every year, FFA chapters all over the US show their appreciation for the organization. The National FFA Organization says, “The bipartisan resolution to establish February 18-25, 2023 as National FFA Week provides a platform for this student-led organization to toot its own horn and celebrate its mission of educating the next generation of leaders in American agriculture.” FFA Week is meant to be a time where you can share what FFA is and show the impact it has on members every day.
Cloverdale FFA created the following spirit days to show appreciation:
Monday was Pajama Day. Tuesday was Blue and Gold Day, meaning you wear your favorite blue and gold attire. Following was Wednesday’s Flannel Day, where you wore your favorite flannel. Thursday was “Drive Your Tractor to School,” causing some to show up in tractors, golf carts, and ATVs. Friday’s “Anything But a Backpack Day,” where students brought their belongings in anything but a backpack, caused people to carry laundry baskets, toy shopping carts, and baby strollers. All of the spirit days had a great turnout!
Cloverdale FFA continued to show their appreciation by cooking breakfast at the middle school and high school for the teachers. During lunch, Bingo games were held to show appreciation to the high school students. The fourth graders received doughnuts and other students received goodie-bags of candy.
