FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Before each year of college, students, along with their parents, apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans. Colleges then use your FAFSA data to find out your federal eligibility. To be eligible for the FAFSA grant, you have to have a 2.0 GPA or higher. For college, you’ll need to keep up your GPA at 2.0 or higher. FAFSA is based on the previous tax year, which would be 2021. This year, you can apply for the FAFSA on Thursday, October 27, at Cloverdale High School. The time will be from 6-8 pm in the KNOY Resource Center.
