National FFA Week is a week every year where members can celebrate and share FFA with others. This year, FFA week was slightly cut short due to an unexpected e-Learning day, but FFA members pushed to make the most of it.
Some of the FFA Week Spirit days were Blue and Gold Day, GOAT (Greatest of All Time) Day, Pajama Day, Farmer Day, and Flannel Day. Hats were also allowed all week. A Golden ticket was hidden all around the school and the first person to find them received a prize. Finally, Bingo games were held all week during lunch where winners could win candy bars.
On Tuesday and Friday of FFA week, the Cloverdale FFA members got up early to show their appreciation to all the CCSC faculty and staff by making omelets. Tuesday, omelets were made for the high school and members helped at the elementary and middle school on Friday. Altogether, over 100 eggs were served. Many of the teachers praised the students’ culinary skills!
Wednesday was a busy day for the Cloverdale FFA as well. First, 12 Students attended an Agriculture Advocacy training with Indiana Farm Bureau at the Indiana Capitol Building. Members got to meet their State Senators and Representatives, as well as hear remarks from Governor Eric Holcomb and Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch. After returning to school, 35 FFA members traveled to 3G Bowl in Greencastle for some fun. They were joined by State FFA Sentinel Madisen Carns and District 7 FFA Vice President Seth Ariens.
On Friday, to wrap up FFA week, the chapter members hosted all of the Kindergarten students in the high school Ag Shop to learn about common agricultural animals. The members would like to say thank you to all the kids who participated and the people that allowed us to borrow their animals!
Overall, National FFA Week was very exciting and we are all looking forward to it next year!
