My name is Kathy Morgan and I am currently responsible for the Treasurer position of Cloverdale Main Street and the Public Relations piece. This position pays our bills, receives our deposits, sends press releases, and runs our social media accounts.
Volunteering allows me to connect to my community and make it a better place. It benefits me as much as the organization I choose to help. My parents were always involved in the community, so now it is my turn to be involved in my community. Currently, I serve as the Putnam County Chamber President, which is a business organization that is interested in growing the business of the area. Other organizations I volunteer for or have volunteered for in the past are Tivoli Theatre in Spencer, Service Learning Project, Clovers Cops, Christmas, and the Christmas Light display here at RTM Garden Center.
Professionally, I work in the Marketing department at Endeavor Communications. We are very involved in our community, with students being a significant focus of ours. We feel the future is always bright when we invest in the youth.
My degree from Purdue University is in Marketing. Boiler Up!
I love dogs, my family, and my three girls. So it seemed like a great fit to start a dog treat business with my girls. It is called Ruff Life Dog Treats. This is something I do as a hobby. It was originally my kids’ but now that they are growing up, they no longer want to be a part of it. This has allowed me to meet so many people. I love to travel, and I do it as much as possible, even if it is just a weekend away. Life is an adventure, and I like to live every day to its fullest.
A little about Cloverdale Main Street:
Gaining a sense of home, where we feel connected and invested in, is a desire many people express. Cloverdale Main Street is a community-building organization.
Currently, Cloverdale Main Street hosts many events in the area, such as the Holiday parades, Scarecrows, Cloverween, Snowmen, Santa at the Icehouse, and many more. Our organization is full of passionately dedicated volunteers who live and work in this community. We are also the sponsor of the Cloverdale Farmers’ Market.
